New nominations and rec

On top of my recent, heartening recognition at the Fang Fetish Awards, I now learn that I have other stories under consideration at other sites.

The Rogue Poet Awards sent me notice that I was among their nominees; when I checked, I found “Zero-Sum Game” and “Jasmine Tears” nominated for Best General Fic – Non-Spuffy.

I found my nomination at the Skiffy Awards by accident, in one of my periodic self-Googling forays, and subsequently learned that some of the nomination notifications had been ‘eaten by the Internet’ and failed to go through. At that site, “All Ye Who Enter” has been nominated in the Joyce category, with “X-Factorial” and “Jasmine Tears” under the Other category.

Check out all the nominations at these awards — with special attention to my stories, of course — and give the authors what support you can. Remember: we do it for love, so appreciation is all the payment we get.

Along those lines, I’m adding a fic rec. One of the other stories highlighted at Fang Fetish was “Her Beauty and Her Terror” by ijemanja, runner-up in the Best Fluff/Lighthearted category. Quick, funny, but at the same time carrying real recognition of the characters depicted and the working atmosphere of Wolfram & Hart in A:tS Season 5, it’s one of the rare slash stories I can enjoy and recommend to others.
