I agree. I love the way it evokes the story, and the basic stylishness of it. There’s been some nice work done there with very basic tools.

Okay, yes, nice banner. But what I'm truly thrilled about? A Nightstalker icon!

Would you believe, Carl Kolchak was my first userpic on LJ? I’ve updated it since then (and replaced the original, so you don’t have any way of comparing them), but I was a huge Night Stalker fan back when the show was first on the air, and Kolchak’s seedy, smarmy unstoppability still resonates over the HORRIBLE special effects. I decided it was time to return to one of my first influences.

And, yes, I really like the banner, too.

Ah, yes, I remember watching Night Stalker back in the day. In fact Dad still tells the story of how he was getting us home late one night and I said, "That's okay. We'll only miss the first murder."
