“Why, I’m so old …
  … that I can remember when it was LGB.”

And, also, when it was thought that those three letters covered the basic categories on non-heterosexuality.

The various parodies of the growing string of letters (I used ‘LGBTQXYZWTF?’ only a few days ago) are in imminent danger of being dwarfed by the official nomenclature itself. And how many people are like me, in that — when I care enough to wonder — I have to look up what the latest letters mean?

Currently, that’s LGBTQIA2S+. I imagine everybody knows the LGB (lesbian, gay, bisexual), and probably everybody know the ‘T’ is for transgender. The ‘Q’, however, can be queer or ‘questioning’, depending on the user. ‘I’ is intersex (whatever the hell that’s supposed to be), ‘A’ is asexual, ‘2S’ is ‘two spirit’ (WHATEVER the hell that’s supposed to be), and the ‘+’ doubtless signifies whatever other weirdo freaks want to jump onto the Crazy Train.

I suspect that, if I were a man who preferred men, or a woman who preferred women, I would be not at all pleased at being lumped in with the increasingly obnoxious (or flat-out mentally ill) crew that keep being added to the label. I know for a fact that it’s been pointed out that the ‘B’ — bisexual — implicitly means that there are two genders, not the endlessly multiplying spectrum now being claimed.

What we see happening there mirrors what’s going on with every other element that’s been infiltrated by the left: the extremes get pushed further and further, and either the social fabric will eventually be overwhelmed entirely, or — more probably, in my opinion — the people who have been getting more and more tired of all this silly shit will stand up and say, ENOUGH!, and the backlash and backswing will result in even less tolerance than I personally would prefer our society to maintain.

Even so, that would be better than anarchy, destruction, and rule by the self-appointed elites who are always ready to step in and take control of what they’re convinced they should have been controlling all along.

One way or the other, this insanity can’t go on forever. Or even very much longer.
