Traveling, finally.

Okay, Susan’s work is finally finished and she’s officially retired. (She had a chance to be part of a research project, and we thought about it for a few days, but decided in the end that we’d got the motorhome so we could try a travel lifestyle, and that wouldn’t go with having to return so often to our no-longer-home-state.

We’d really like to get to warmer weather, but I have a VA appointment scheduled the first week of December, and have to stay relatively close in the meantime. After that, something specific in Texas (I’ll provide more detail when it’s time to start on that), after which we can start making more open-ended plans.

We’re in Missouri for a couple of weeks (until the VA appointment and the next thing). We’d been in our current slot for less than an hour when we lost power. Susan and I both worried that something might have gone wrong with the Navion itself, but it turned out to be the 30-amp breaker in the RV park’s power hookup. They didn’t have a spare, but I had followed recommendations and carried a 30-to-50 converter, so we’re using that till a spare can be acquired.

Sooner or later we’ll get a problem that we don’t have the immediate supplies to handle. For now, though, our luck is holding.
