Fandom Snowflake Challenge #5

Easy enough to do. Some years back, thinking of Phouka’s fun and entertaining story series Oh, the Places He Goes! (centered on Xander of Buffy the Vampire Slayer), I suggested to my daughter sroni a comparable series just for fun. Ah, the Lasses He Knows!, likewise a set of Xander-centric crossover stories, would start with the premise of Willow chancing across some mystical marker that indicated Xander had a child out there somewhere, and Xander — who had spent much of his post-Sunnydale years dealing with alcohol, periodic concussions, self-medication and the residues of various spells — couldn’t properly guess who the lucky mother might be. Each story would show him calling on one or another crossover female, who he remembered spending time with but couldn’t remember whether or not he’d slept with (again, because of the alcohol/concussions/spells), and what would take place between them before he moved on to the next potential candidate.

I suggested the notion to my daughter because I wasn’t interested in writing those stories, but would very much have enjoyed reading stories like that. She liked the idea, and had some suggestions of her own (I think she wanted Veronica Mars to wind up as the winner in the maternity sweepstakes), but ultimately never followed out on that … which I can’t criticize, since I never considered attempting it myself.

So, anybody?

As someone who's a long time fan of Xander and a new convert to the cult of Veronica, I'd also like to petition someone (not us) to write it. ❤❤

Yeah, it’s a pretty easy sell: “Hey, I have this great idea, I just want you to do all the work!” Funny how there are so few takers on something like that …
