What’s your ratio of hits to kudos?
This presupposes that Archive of Our Own is the most important site for rating fics … which might be accurate even in my case, but I haven’t got accustomed to thinking in those terms. I started writing Buffyfic in 1999, but didn’t sign into AO3 until 2010. It’s been around a while, but part of me still think of it as ‘new’. Even LiveJournal was a semi-recent development for me, I started encountering it in 2003 and didn’t sign up myself till 2005, a full six years into my ‘career’. My first writing archive was on my own site (which started out elsewhere, but has been on Freeservers since 2001), my second was with the Sunnydale Slayers, and I also had a presence on the Slayer Fanfic Archive before that domain lapsed and was never reactivated. Oh, and I got myself set up at Fanfiction.net before AO3 appeared, so there’s that, too.
At Archive of Our Own, my current hit-to-kudo ration is 54.6 to 1. My most popular fic by hits there is “Yet They Grind Exceeding Small” (which surprises me); the highest by kudos is “Tea and Oranges”, and the most-bookmarked is “Otherwise a Perfect Sky”.
At FFN, my most-viewed story is “Walking After Midnight”, my most-reviewed is “Whisper of a Moment”, and my most-favorited is “Subject to Change”.
Alas, I’d have to go through every single one of my stories on LiveJournal, record the statistics, and then compare them to each other to get a reading there. Even my ego isn’t enough to move me to such a task.
That’s it, then, such as it is.
Still to come:

You’re applying for the fanfic writer of the year award. What five fanfics do you put in your portfolio?
