Honestly, it hasn’t made much difference this time through. Part of that is because I’ve done it before, so I just didn’t have much call to break new ground in terms of self-discovery or personal revelation. Part of it was that I had other things going on in the background, and just doing the challenges at all was about as much devotion as I could make to the process. So, I didn’t check out the posts of other participants to nearly the extent I did last year or in 2012, didn’t make the same sustained effort to seek out and introduce myself to new people, or to learn new things from those people. Limited commitment, limited return, I fully recognize and admit that.
Had some fun here and there, though. It took a little of my time, but I wouldn’t say that time was wasted.

Date: 2016-01-17 01:24 am (UTC)I also don’t think I contributed as much this time, mostly due to other obligations. It really is true that you tend to get out of something according to how much you put in.
And why wouldn’t you enjoy reading what I have to say? I’m an utterly fascinating person, in every imaginable way.
