A moment to draw breath, and …

Okay, here I am.

To begin with, sroni successfully carried off the managing of Round 3 of the Circle of Friends Remix (cof_remix). The results:

• sroni: remix of eilandesq, with “Between the Lines of Fear and Blame”
  (and a bonus for comlodge, as a new participant in cof_remix, with “Hope Is a Four-Letter Word”)
• eilandesq: remix of evil_little_dog, with “Little Marshmallows and a Warm Cup”
• evil_little_dog: remix of aadler, with “Light a Spark”
• aadler: remix of comlodge, with “Shock to the System”
• comlodge: remix of sroni, with “Cosmic Joke”

For only the second time in all the remixes I’ve joined, someone remixed one of my few non-Buffy fics. evil_little_dog’s contribution (listed above) there is definitely worth checking out.

In my newest ‘career’ move, I proposed to the trucking company I now work for a temporary team arrangement, partnering with another driver for a couple of months so we could help meet some of the holiday rush. During that time, I’ve been to/through 32 states and gone coast-to-coast twice … and that was just two months. My co-driver will be moving on to a truck of his own in a few days, and I can settle into a less demanding pace. (The advantage of team-driving is reduced downtime; when one is sleeping, the other is driving. The disadvantage is reduced downtime; sleep yes, relaxation not so much.)

I still intend to keep writing fanfic. I might even, once my schedule evens out, manage more of it than when I was stuck at home. (Fewer distractions.)

We’ll see.

She did a great job. And, as always, there were some wonderful stories. Have a few to get to yet, but I liked the ones I've read so far. Sounds like you're putting those leadership skills to work in your new line of work. Hope you get a chance to rest soon. :)

Less leadership, more learning the system and trying to figure out how to get the best out of it.

Yes, I’m pleased with sroni’s performance, and with her growth as a writer. We hope to have you back with us for next year’s cof_remix.

And, even apart from returning to solo driving, I’ll get a few days off for Christmas, so all is good.
