Fandom Snowflake Challenge, Day 7
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for — a fannish wish-list of sorts. Drop a link to your wish-list in the comments on this post. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we’d love it if you link them to this post.

My fannish wishes are somewhat limited; if I’d like to see particular types of stories, I try to write them, or I keep following favorite authors to see their latest output. There are a few things, though, so:

1. I’ve seen a few stories with fanart that very effectively communicated the essence of the story, or provided a potent visual frame from which to begin reading. It would be wonderful if some talented person would be inspired to provide fanart cover pages for some of my stories. (Or all of them, but who can dream that high?)

2. There are various award sites, and I keep track of several of them, but I wish someone would do an award site devoted to (or at least having several categories for) stories centered on minor characters. I get a big kick out of working with minor characters, exploring what more might be there to be seen in them, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of regard for that kind of approach. Come on, it would at least be different, wouldn’t it?

3. When someone close to me produced an Army Wives fanfic called “A Turn on the Floor,” I recced it on my LJ and requested that people on my friends list provide lots of feedback. Unfortunately, there was very little (I think only one comment). Any positive commentary there would be most deeply appreciated.

So there you are. Those are the wishes that occur.
