Long weekend over. Nothing of note, after the Thanksgiving thing. Got lots of laundry done, though, and dishes, and mail sorted out. Tomorrow, scheduling of bill payments. Because having your water and your phone cut off, within a period of four days, is NOT FUN AT ALL. (And not my fault, either. But my credit rating takes the hit, all the same.)

Chuck started up again while I was away at Fort Polk, so I’m getting ready to begin catching up on that. Already did Dexter; next is Revenge. Of the three, I expect Chuck to be the most cheerful.

I’m really looking forward to my daughter’s return home. Among other reasons, because my daughter is [livejournal.com profile] sroni, and she and I were working on a fanfic together, and I’ve done all I can, so I’m waiting for her contribution.

Susan’s birthday is very soon. I’m going to have to come up with something … not as much as she deserves, because she deserves more than I can give, but something that will at least make her feel recognized and valued.

Grammar/language peeve of the day: a commercial that states, “Nobody does it like BrandName.” Which is to say, not even BrandName does it like BrandName. Which isn’t what they wanted to say at all, but sloppiness in thought accompanies sloppiness in language.

A year from now, we’ll have known the winner of the coming presidential election for a full three weeks. I can confidently predict that a lot of people will be ecstatic, and a lot of people will be stunned and discouraged. That’s regardless of how it turns out. But I bet you can guess which way I’ll be cheering.

Things to do, things to do. I’ll just have to make sure they get done.
