I didn’t do any writing yesterday; in fact, with all the running-around I had to do just in the normal course of the day, I barely made it to bed at a decent time. Maybe some this evening, though by the time I post this and get started, it’ll already be later than I would prefer.

Meanwhile …

One thing I never thought to mention, since I’ve been juggling so many other issues lately: recently, stories of mine have been getting nominated on various sites. “… Than Meets the Eye” was proposed at the Crossing Over Awards (hosted by Twisting the Hellmouth); that award period has passed, and my story clearly didn’t win anything, but I was still happy to be in the running at all. Elsewhere, “Precious Cargo” has been nominated at the Fang Fetish Awards, “Glass Ceiling” at the Rogue Poet Awards, and a whole slew of my works have been put into contention at the Serenity on the Hellmouth Awards. I think of myself as being largely peripheral to the fanfic scene — I’ve never attempted to be a BNF, wouldn’t have any idea how to try, I just write stories and occasionally recommend works by other authors — but it doesn’t hurt my feelings at all to see that my various fanfic efforts haven’t gone entirely unregarded.

Okay. On with trying to accomplish something productive.
