Oz is fighting his guitar. Gently: no animosity, it just won’t do what he wants.

Stubborn. He relates.

He coaxes the chords, amp turned low. It’s not about volume, it’s getting the sound.

Doesn’t expect the low growl from … close.

Stops. Quirks an eyebrow. Tries another chord.

Different growl. Grudging? Changes fingers on the frets, stretches it out, modulates.

The … other sound … gradually matches his. Together, they move back and forth: reaching, handshaking, blending.

Final passage is a harmony that threads, merges, somehow ends perfectly.

Silence.

It’s good.

He waits … then begins testing chords again.

Still gotta get it right.
