Forty-fifth day in China – August 4 Monday

When I got up in the morning, I was surprised to find it was already 10:00AM; the lesser light of another rainy day had made it seem earlier.

Shortly after noon, I discovered I had some private feedback on “the Precocious Harmony of Little Jade” from sroni. Always welcome.

We got a text from Kevin that his work schedule meant he wouldn’t be coming to dinner this evening. That, along with the new rainy weather, prompted Susan and me to let Mei‑li know we’d stay in today. She said she’d pass the word to her father.

Around 2:00PM I brought back enough stuff from 7‑Eleven for our lunch. Then, just before 6:00PM, I got meals from Baker & Spice for Susan’s and my dinner.

Nothing else happened, and eventually there was nothing to stop us from going on to bed.
