Ireland/China 2025, continuing (43)
Jul. 23rd, 2025 10:52 pmThirty-third day in China – July 23 Wednesday
I got up just before 7:00AM … but, after reading for a bit, I just plain went back to bed for a while. Susan woke me again at 8:45.
Breakfast for us, then lunch when that time came. Then she went to lie down. When she got up, we did our daily Rosary.
We got a text from Mei‑li, suggesting we go to her parents’ apartment before it started to rain. We left immediately, but it still was raining just barely enough for us to use the umbrellas (including the one Kevin had provided for us last night).
At the Yins’, Jack and Joy were there, as well as Amber, so it was seven for dinner. Tonight included boiled crawfish (only one of several dishes, as usual). After the meal, Susan and Amber watched the end of the movie they’d started last night.
Kevin got in from work while this was going on, and we had some chance to visit, but mainly it was about time for us to get back. He walked with us down to the gate, but we proceeded from there on our own.
Back at the apartment, I did some more writing on Amber’s birthday fic (tPHoLJ), up to nearly 3,000 words now.
I wanted to stay up and keep reading, but I was tired enough that my eyes were beginning to unfocus, so I wound things up to make myself ready for bed before 11:00PM.
