Sixth day in Ireland – June 16 Monday

I got up 7:45AM to get a blood pressure reading, then lay down again till Roni arrived, around 8:30. The three of us went down to breakfast, up to the room again when done.

Reading, watching TV, relaxing, some talking. Just before noon, I took a walk outside the hotel to see if there was anything within easy walking distance that would be worth visiting (and to get in a bit of exercise). Turned out that, except for a Texaco station/speedy-mart about 10 minutes away, it was all dealerships and local business headquarters.

On my return, and at my suggestion, Roni and Susan and I said a Rosary together, our first in years (obviously, since we hadn’t seen Roni in person, as distinguished from video-chats, since she left the States to join her then-new husband in Ireland).

And, speaking of video chats, our son Kevin called us — from New York City, where he was attending a convention — because he knew we would probably all be together. His call came in about 4:30PM, and lasted till around 6:15. I let Susan and Roni do most of the talking.

Conal showed up almost as soon as the call ended, less than 15 minutes later. We all had dinner together downstairs, then he and Roni headed home shortly after 8:00 because he was expecting an early morning tomorrow.

Rest and reading and other activities till time for bed.
