Fifth day in Ireland – June 15 Sunday

I slept until Susan woke me — 9:45AM — then showered quickly and the two of us went down to breakfast.

We got a Messenger post from our daughter that she and Conal would be staying home today. At her invitation, however, I gave her a Messenger call so she could wish me a happy Father’s Day. Susan was on the call as well, but after the last several days we didn’t have a lot to say to each other, so it’ll wait till she comes by tomorrow.

Susan slept some more, I read this and that. In the evening we went down for dinner (I finally found out what bangers and mash are like), then back up to the room. Meaning neither of us stepped outside the hotel today; we’d considered going to Mass, but the process of getting there and back by taxi would have been more cumbersome than we felt like dealing with.

Relaxing, reading, and television, then settled things down to go to bed. Yes, that’s us: non-stop excitement for the jet-setters.
