1 Story of mine I currently recommend

1. “Shadow and Substance”
   I chose this one because, in my opinion, it features the intersection of highest quality (I like practically all my fics, but I certainly like some more than others) and least attention from those who read what I write. “Shadow and Substance” was only the third Buffyfic I ever did, and that was in the time before I began posting on LiveJournal, which exposed my work to a wider audience; additionally, it didn’t feature any of the main Buffy characters — certainly not Buffy herself — and so it may be that readers of Buffyfic didn’t know quite what to make of it. (Something similar happened with “Beg to Differ”, several years later.)

Practically all those are old favorites of mine. So much of the newer stuff now is in media that I don’t follow or that literally hurts my eyes; to that extent, I’m more or less stuck in the past, but it’s relatively comfortable here.

Derry Girls is such an amazing show! Every character is a delight, from the main five to the brief-appearance ones. Sister Michael is my soulmate. XD

Sister Michael was always fun to hear. My biggest impression, however, came from the endlessly expressive facial expressions of the narrator. Mingled disbelief, misery, and astonishment, pretty much at will.
