A few months ago, Susan had extensive treatments that took away almost all her back pain, but that was the point at which her body had time to notice severe knee pain on one side. Now, after stretching and range-of-motion exercises in the RV park’s heated indoor pool, she’s found that walking was easier for her. We’ve done a couple of days of that, and I checked at the front desk to get the best weather forecast available; on being assured that it didn’t appear there would be any days in December below 23° — and that only for overnight lows — I gave the okay to extend our stay at this location for another month.

As I said the other day, this is a really nice spot, and even apart from the RV park itself, there are at least two state parks in easy driving distance (and El Paso is within 80 miles for even more attractions), so we should be able to keep ourselves occupied. And, if we’re going to be here for a while, I’ve found a very well recommended RV repairman so I can see about replacing the vent that was damaged by wind on the drive out of Santa Rosa.

The way it works is this: every day I’m not driving the RV is a day I’m not using diesel that has to be replaced … and at RV parks themselves, the weekly rate is lower than the daily rate, and the monthly rate lower yet, so unless we need to be somewhere else quick, it’s better to stay in one spot if we happen to like the place. And we like this one, so.

More as it comes up.
