There’s an actual family of roadrunners living at the RV park where Susan and I are currently staying. I was surprised to see that the bird genuinely does have a purplish crest.

Now that I’m past the prescribed waiting period following the stent placement (cardiac catheterization), I’ve cautiously started a mild exercise program, to increase as I monitor my capacity. And I’m eating mostly stir-fry — using olive oil — with vegetables and black rice and varying meats.

I’ve got back into my Babbel study, and am practicing my Spanish through that program every day. Also doing daily prayers — drawn from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer — plus a daily Rosary.

Following the announcement of an abbreviated submission for this year’s Summer of Giles, I’ve begun work on what I’ll be turning in this year.

At one time Susan and I had as many as three storage spaces rented, for the different things we’d stored following the sale of our house, the move out of our apartment, and transition to RV life. We reduced that down to one large space … but now we’ve rented another smaller one, and are transferring to there the relatively few things we plan on keeping, while we give away or throw away or donate the rest. Currently the larger space has been reduced by about a third, and the smaller one contains a much reduced volume. Eventually the larger one will be empty, and we’ll retain no more than a fifth (and perhaps as little as a tenth) of what we once had stuck away.

And that will do for now.
