Twenty-second day in China – August 02 Wednesday

Up 8:30AM. As usual, I let Susan sleep some more.

About 11:00, I went down to Burger King, brought back lunch for us.

Around 4:30PM, Susan and I headed for the Yins’ apartment. Susan had brought more birthday stuff for Amber; since this was the first one of her birthdays we’ve ever been able to attend, Susan had collected quite a  number of presents, and decided to give her one a day for an entire week.

Mei‑li showed up before dinner began, Kevin right after. Fine food, as always, and Logan was more conversational than usual (though Kevin, of course, had to translate).

Kevin walked us home, and we stopped together at the corner supermarket to try and find something Susan needed, but it wasn’t available. He didn’t hang around much after we arrived.

Susan and I read and relaxed till bedtime.
