Lauren’s resentment of Buffy, I believe, came in two parts. The first was her belief that Ryan’s fascination with the Slayer, and his determination to contribute to that mission, would lead him away from her. The second was that what she saw as his near-worship of Buffy kept him from recognizing — as she did — how extraordinary his own role had been.
As for the rest … I’m by no means convinced that she’s a Slayer, or even a Potential (though her being able to tune in on Nairi’s near-inaudible prompt does raise suspicions); I think Nairi was simply voicing the same challenge she’d had to face, and letting Lauren find her own answer.
But, oh yes, she and Ryan will definitely be a team.
