Okay. My updated profile reads:

I’m a man ‟of a certain age”. I retired from the U.S. Army Reserve with over twenty years of total service (including two tours in Iraq, one in Afghanistan, and one in the Joint Task Force at Guantanamo Bay, plus multiple tours at the National Training Center and the Joint Readiness Training Center). My children are grown now, and both are living outside the U.S. and married to non-U.S. citizens. My only grandchild is 1) genetically half-Chinese, 2) culturally Chinese [but with an American father], and 3) officially a U.S. citizen [who’s never set foot in the U.S.].

I write, read, enjoy, and comment on fanfiction in the universe of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel: the Series. Other things may creep in occasionally — mainly politics and my daily life — but my primary focus for this page is fanfiction.

Well, that and my wife’s and my desire (and plan) to retire to Asia as soon as the COVID ridiculousness eases up some. I’m personally set on Malaysia, but it’s all but certain that we’ll spend at least the beginning living in China (because that’s where the enchanting granddaughter is!), and you can bet I’ll post some about that once we get started.

So there it is, and we’ll see what the rest of this year’s Snowflake meme will bring.
