I always knew where the story was going (or where I wanted it to go), but whether I could effectively get it there was a matter to be worked out. If you feel it delivered in the end, I’ll happily accept your approval.
The formation of the crust was the author’s mistake, not the cook’s. (See my reply to sparrow2000, above.) I appreciate your willingness to ascribe the error to someone other-than-me, but that one was mine, and I moved promptly to correct the problem once it was pointed out.
