The street’s on fire in a real death-waltz
In American society there is, in fact, a right to protest, and sometimes a pressing need to do so.
Having said that:
When you set fires, that’s not protest. It’s arson.
When you attack people, that’s not protest. It’s assault.
When you loot stores, that’s not protest. It’s vandalism, theft, and/or robbery.
When you engage in those acts, you’re not a protestor. You’re a violent criminal.
And when you attempt to justify those acts, you’re not ‘speaking out for the oppressed’. You’re excusing — encouraging — arson, assault, looting, and riot.
For which (just speaking for myself, but I seriously doubt I’m the only person who feels so) you are cordially invited to go fuck yourself.
