And yes, I loved the Xander-Angelus scene in the hospital (referenced it in one fic, recreated it in another). That’s Xander at his best: facing down someone he can’t beat, but doing what has to be done with what we keep seeing in Xander … which is to say, nimbleness of thought, ridiculous courage, unwavering determination, and razor-edged sarcasm.

There’s a reason he’s featured in more of my stories than any other single character (even Buffy herself).
