Fandom Snowflake Challenge, Day 11

In your own space, recommend a fannish or creative resource. Leave a comment here saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Truthfully? I don’t have much. The things I used to rely on have mostly faded away, and I haven’t bothered to search out replacements. Anything I look for can usually be located in general internet searches, and finding consolidated resources hasn’t been necessary for me.

There are still things I follow, however.

As far as general overview of writing as a profession, KrisWrites keeps delivering interesting and informative perspectives, and this is something I check out every single week.

Sarah Hoyt, at According to Hoyt, also provides intriguing observations on the creative process, plus her opinions on the ways in which publishing has been changing (plus a lot of social/political observations, which don’t bother me one bit but which some might choose to skip over).

Wikipedia, of course, and the Internet Movie DataBase.

For Buffy ficcers, the Buffyverse Dialogue Database is a great place to search for half-remembered dialogue. (If I remember correctly, my story “Shock to the System” relied heavily on it.)

That’s it for me. If you want to see a real list of resources, however, look at what [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup put together here. That page itself needs to be bookmarked/saved as a resource.
