My own intro to fandom came much, much earlier, but Buffy certainly catapulted me headlong into my current long-term activity.
As for “the Bakery”? Saw it only once, 30 years ago, and it’s still stuck with me. That’s pretty much the only testimony you’ll get to its effectiveness.
