The problem with buying a car new is that it starts needing costly repairs just about the time it’s paid off. I prefer to stick with used, so I can put more into upkeep and less into purchase. That doesn’t mean there’s no downside, though.

As for living abroad … as I said, probably never happen. I’ve learned, however, that ‘unlikely’ differs significantly from ‘impossible’.
