Quite an interesting and unconventional take on Joyce. It does fit with certain aspects of her on screen character if only a few. The anger she exhibited at realizing that she would risk herself for her daughter was quite illuminating. Not unlike a certain vampire finding he had an annoying set of feelings for Summers women.
I'm very tempted to believe she cut Travers free. He could not retaliate against her for the very reason he warned her. I imagine he breathed a healthy sigh of relief when she died of the aneurysm two years later.
