Insofar as Emily’s chances of ‘winning’, I think the key to that one is to ascertain What is it exactly that she wants to accomplish? If her goal is to exterminate the Cuan-atl … well, I wouldn’t flatly declare that impossible, but I certainly wouldn’t quote her good odds. But what does she want to do, what was her reason for leaping through the portal in the first place …?
She’s definitely taken on a hard fight, no argument there. I wouldn’t count her out, though. She has a mission now, and she’s shown just how much commitment she can bring to its pursuit.
