Thirteenth day in China [October 13]

I woke just before 7:00; Susan, of course, had been up for awhile (though she tends to be up and down through most of the night anyway). Mei-li sent a text just before 9:00 asking if we were up, and I let her know that Susan wasn’t yet; when I texted about 10:00 that she was getting dressed now, Mei-li replied they’d be by to pick us up in fifteen minutes.
Okay. We were able to get ready in time, but yeah, that was quick. Back at the Yins’, we visited with Amber — who’s running a slight temperature but not showing any other signs of being sick — and had lunch, lay down for the usual nap, read things online and on Kindle, watched a bit of television.
(Something I forgot to mention yesterday: after our ‘rescuers’ returned us to the Bao’an Stadium area and Susan and I went to KFC for lunch, she was greeted by someone she’d met at Kevin’s Chinese wedding. Yes: my wife goes to another continent and runs into someone she knows.)
(The last few days, the edema in my feet has lessened to the point where I’m still watching it but it’s no longer a health issue. Just because the question has been asked.)
Kevin got home from his teaching in time to join us for dinner. After that, he accompanied Laura when she drove us back to our current residence, around or shortly after 8:00 PM.
I caught up on laptop stuff while Susan continued with further episodes of Sleepy Hollow. I finally went on to bed after 11:00 PM.
