With the years-ago fading away of the Halo Awards, SMFA is now the closest we have to the ‘big time’, so it never hurts my feelings to have my name listed there, even as a nominee. It’s just that, in this instance as with so many other nominations, I never can quite understand why a particular story was put up for recognition when I can think of others I feel are so much better suited.

It’s funny, rather than frustrating, but it remains a mystery.
