I did remember Father Nolan but the reminders of exactly where are appreciated. One does lose track after awhile. :)
The dilemna, as I saw it, was the timing of Mary Claire falling unconsciously quickly enough for her to dust Jerri without her getting too far away. Because she had to wait for that there was at least a calculated risk that Jerri could have gotten away.
And as sparrow2000 just recced you I don't think you're in danger of people losing interest. There will always be interest in good writing.
