Tara’s actions in this story — especially taking place at this point in her development as a character — concerned me more than anything else, but after long consideration, I left it as it was. All the other segments went more or less naturally.
I’m aware that my treatment differed signally from yours in several respects. In a way, that accords with my own respect for Spike as a character: the Sunnydale crew might, at this point, be able to see him as a useful ally, but none of them had any reason to like him. And, in my opinion, their very hostility (active at different levels) gave him a source of fuel, whereas his self-imposed inability to attack Dawn came closest to undermining him.
I enjoyed this, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with your work.
