I like this expanded view on Spike's reactions with each of the Scoobie gang during his convalescence. Your Giles is, I think, spot on. I can hear him say these things.
I can sort of see Tara and the pot, certainly you have her intuition down nicely.
I do like that you've used Spike's demon to bring him round and set himself on the path to recovery. I can see that.
