I have real hopes regarding my new ‘career’. Driving doesn’t even really feel like work to me most of the time, and I’m already accustomed to spending substantial periods of time away from home. Especially if I can get back into the owner/operator role where I started, I could do pretty well financially … and almost any job is worth pursuing in our current economy.
I was happy to be recognized at absence_oflight. I didn’t really think of myself as a “dark” writer, but I suppose a few of my stories can be said to qualify. In any case, recognition is always welcome.
I, too, am hoping my present situation won’t prevent me from participating in the remix this year. Right now, it’s basically a coin-toss. Even two weeks from now, it might be an entirely different matter.
