I actually wonder sometimes if I do good remixes, in the sense of telling the same story in a different way. I always read something by the original author, get excited by an idea, and then take off for God-knows-where. (Okay, not always; “Otherwise a Perfect Sky” was an extension and elaboration of the original, but essentially faithful to its source material.) I enjoy it, though, and the stories generally receive a good reception, so I keep at it, even to the point of starting my own remix event just so I could do more of it. If you like the result, even better.
Thanks for the commentary about accuracy in voice. Since this essentially was nothing but two people talking, I’d have been up the creek if I’d missed there. That you feel I didn’t is reassuring and gratifying.
