There is a thick layer of evil at the center of this coverup. Thanks to a lapdog press, the depths won't be plumbed by the national media until after the elections. But the facts that have come out so far are so damning that it's surreal no one has resigned or turned whistleblower yet.

The assignment itself reeks of something rotten. We have an ambassador and some diplomats without a marine detail, housed in the No Man's Land/ Terror Garden of Benghazi, and the only American safeguard is a nearby CIA flophouse? I'd like to know this: exactly what was the nature of Ambassador Stevens' Benghazi mission? Who proposed it and who signed off on it?

There are two answers that seem likely to me, and both of them sound loud alarm bells that we need to get this sinister bunch out of Washington, pronto, and probably fit a few of for prison togs.

I got a big shiver when Obama tapped Clinton for State. It was the first time in my life (in our nation's history?) that a president picked a hated political foe as his SoS, purely using the Chicago machine math of payoffs and patronage to silence dissent in the ranks. I am getting the strong feeling that the Ambassadors, his entourage were pawns in a political battle between these two.

Hilary knows very well that she has no hope of winning the presidency in 2016 after a second Obama term -- the Repubs could nominate Joe the Plumber and win -- and that 2016 is probably her last viable chance to run. My guess that Hilary, after being chronically ignored on foriegn affairs issues by our incompetent, petty bozo of a prez, decided to dangle the Ambassador out on the hook for the local terrorist franchise to CAPTURE, not kill, with the CIA on hand to help smooth over the details with the bad guys. Remember - the Ambassador died of smoke inhalation, not by bullet, beheading or bomb blast, which is AQ's usual M.O. The sloppy plan was for a rehash of Iran 79', with a damaged and weak-looking Obama losing the election, and Hilary rescuing her legacy at State by getting the hostages back during the lame duck transitional period.

That would explain a lot about why no assets were mobilized to rescue them. In light of that, Doherty and Woods were even more heroic in their actions. I'm guessing they were no dummies -- you don't get stationed in a CIA "annex" in downtown Hell without understanding some realpolitik. The moment they left their position, they probably knew the very best outcome they could hope for was getting turned into scapegoats by their crooked, evil bosses.

In a just world, the moral strength those guys demonstrated would inspire reporters to demand answers 24/7, and instantly destroy the political fortunes of soulless rats like Clinton, Obama, Panetta and "Smilin' Joe" Biden. Unfortunately we don't live in that world. The only hope is that Romney wins and declassifies everything.
