Fic progress

Last night I finished the ‘framework draft’ of a story I’m doing with sroni. Normally the completion of a draft means I’m almost done with the story, but this one is different. It’s to be built around a dozen individual vignettes, which haven’t been done yet; what I’ve written is the background narrative into which the vignettes will be inserted.

A little over 5,000 words so far. I expect at least 6,000 more for the ‘meat’ of the story. Still, it’s a beginning.
