10 Things Meme
Jan. 26th, 2007 10:40 amThis one came from several sources; I think I first saw it from
Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about him/herself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs.
- I used to say I was a mutant, because I read in a biology text that the ability to curl your tongue was genetically based, and there were two different ways to curl, and I could not only do both, I found I could do a third way as well that wasn’t in the book at all. Then a) I saw a guy on television demonstrate ‘my’ third way, and b) my son showed me that he could not only duplicate my performance, he could do a fourth curl that’s beyond my ability. So, no mutant. (He might be one, though.)
- I’ve dated maybe half a dozen women who were taller than me.
- I always wanted to go sky-diving and SCUBA diving, but I’ve never done either.
- I’ve met at least three Olympic athletes. Maybe more, I’d have to count.
- I’ve always had a thing for redheads. Never really had a chance to indulge it, but it’s definitely there.
- Alternating classes with full-time work to periodically rebuild my cash reserve, I took fourteen years to finish college.
- I’ve never played Truth or Dare, and never will. It’s dumb.
- Even though I grew up in the Sixties, I’ve never used any kind of illegal drugs, and — again — never will. Beyond dumb.
- I, like Hiro Nakamura, once belonged to the Merry Marvel Marching Society.
- I lived in Memphis while Tom Cruise was filming the Firm there. One of my co-workers met him. She said he was a shrimp.
Nobody tagged me, which I appreciate. Returning the courtesy, I won’t tag anyone else; this is volunteer only. Just, if you do, drop me a note to let me know you did, and where to look.

I told him/her I'd just forward you the question. Of course, I am not at all in any way shape or form curious as to the answer myself. Nope. Nuh uh. *is wearing his hypocrite T-shirt*

Re: Excelsior!
Date: 2007-01-27 01:33 am (UTC)As far as skydiving/SCUBA, ’fraid not. I elected not to try for Airborne school (I’d have to meet the physical qualifications for the 19-year-old age group, which ain’t gonna be happening), and only the really elite guys get into the underwater stuff; usually that’s SEALs or Delta. Way above my pay grade.
