I guess I pretty much consider a teaser to be a "summary", in the sense that the "summary" line in a fanfic header is where you put the hook that's supposed to draw people in. Teasers definitely serve that purpose. In fact, full "this is the whole plot in a nutshell" summaries are a turn-off; I want to know enough to draw me in, not enough to feel like I've already flipped to the last page in a novel.

(When you said "I don't do summaries" it made me think of those people that only list a title and maybe a pairing or prompt and nothing else, and I was a bit confused before I took in the rest of the paragraph. *lol*)
