Happy to see it worked for you. I’ve spent a lot of time comparing Angel and Xander in my head, but this is the first time I ever addressed that in print. In fact, it’s the first time I’ve ever worked with Angel as a character at all.
As far as Willy goes, he seems — like most things in Sunnydale — to be something of a mystery. Maybe his reasoning followed yours, and he relocated because he could do his patented balancing act with less effort and less difficulty pretty much anywhere else in the world.
