Well, another delay. Except not right away: a delayed delay.

Susan got a message from one of her fellow instructors, that they still don’t have a replacement for the other instructor who quit without notice. But not for now: it’s next semester that remains uncovered. Susan has all but officially agreed to fill in, from part of January through part of March.

This means that we have about a month and a half to do light travel, then we’ll be back in our former town of residence for another two months before we can resume life ‘on the road’. There are actually advantages to that. Susan will be putting in for Social Security retirement (on top of her existing VA pension), and this will provide some interim pay for while we wait for that extra to go through the system and start showing up. Additionally, that will give us time to set up a remailing service to get our mail to us wherever we stop for a few weeks, a feature used heavily by people following the RV lifestyle.

(Also, there are three things strongly advised for everyone living in a motorhome and dealing with varying locations/setups: a water pressure regulator, a surge protector/voltage regulator, and a tire pressure monitoring system. I already got the first two, and this will provide plenty of time to acquire the last and get it installed, assuming I haven’t managed to do so already by that point.)

So, yeah, back — briefly — to the grindstone in 2023, then we’ll move on to exploring and visiting.
