Staying power

I don’t know what brought it to my mind, but yesterday I suddenly realized:

I’ve lived through twelve American presidents, seven Popes, three Emperors of Japan …

… but only one British monarch.

It can’t last forever, but she’s had a heck of a run. Hang in there, Queen.
