Random events

 
Different things:

• My son is now in China, living there and training for the job he’ll work for the next year.
• For the first time ever, I’m attending a reunion of my high school graduating class. Except not exactly. I attended the same school for five and a half years (the two years of junior high school were also held in the same big new building), then my family moved to another state for my last semester of high school. As a result, the school that has always felt like ‘mine’ is the one from which I didn’t actually graduate. Fortunately, they’re perfectly willing to welcome me back.
• sroni and I finally got the needed fourth person for our proposed round-robin remix, which has now begun. Results should be posted by October 24, or before if we can manage it.
• I’m within a month of my next birthday. This will will be the first even-numbered birthday since I joined the Army Reserve that won’t take place while I’m in a foreign theater. I tried, but some things just don’t work out.

There really ought to be more going on in my life right now, but for the moment, that’s it.
