Quick update

 
Okay.

I got my remix assignment. The author I drew has a substantial body of work, so I’m going through it to see which ones might kick off my desire to do a version of my own. Have a couple of ideas already — well, three — and there may be others waiting. I’ll give it no more than another week, more probably just a few more days, and then I’ll get to work.

Our training continues. Deep, serious stuff, miles better than I ever got for any previous deployment. I’ll probably be at least three times better prepared than ever before. Still learning how to deal with the people that have been integrated in with us (and who, in my particular detachment, now outnumber those I already knew), but that will come in time.

Tomorrow, I believe I’ll start posting chapters of “Queen’s Gambit”.
