aadler: (CK4)

Yesterday, after the quick physical exam I was given, Susan’s doctor wrote me a prescription for the most common diuretic. It worked fairly well — after a day, the puffiness in my feet had gone down to the point where I might not have noticed it if that was as bad as it had ever gotten — but wasn’t an automatic fix. There’s still some swelling, and still (when I’ve been sitting for awhile) a tendency toward pitting.

Meanwhile, I found out that I didn’t really have any insurance coverage for the imaging appointments that had been made for me, and Susan’s insurance doesn’t cover me because she never changed it, so I canceled those appointments. I’ll set up something through the VA, and if things get serious in the meantime, I’ll be back on active duty orders by Thursday or Friday, and I’ll let the Army check me out.

Susan and I stayed in central-state for an extra day because of the appointments that I then canceled, and got in too late to try to do anything about the damaged garage door. (No, I haven’t forgotten about that.) I’ll make a call tomorrow, and try to get some other things taken care of in the single day remaining before I have to report for duty.
