Augh! I read through most of your post about your daughter before I realized you were talking about my friend your daughter! :-( I'm so sorry to hear about that, it seemed everything was going well for them; although, now that I think about it, I hadn't heard from her in awhile. I do hope the good parts you mentioned even out the bad.
