Excellent fic. I really liked how you portrayed Xander here, I think that's exactly how he sees Angel. And I think Angel's harsh view of himself is accurate also.
Of course I think Angel is much more down on himself than he should be. As time eventually proves, he continually tries to do the right thing although the personal cost is enormous.
