Funny how you would think a Slayer that didn’t fit the mold would be right up the Sunnydale crew’s alley.
My thought on that was that the “Sunnydale crew” would be overextended by the necessity of dealing with sudden masses of new people. Plus, clearly, there’s something more going on.
So glad you did the whole bit with her staking her best friend and Xander’s reaction. I always thought they were too cavalier on the subject of Jesse in canon. Xander’s response is perfect.
